As our Cook II, you'll be responsible for supervising and assisting in the preparation of food items across various outlets, from our restaurant and café to room service, employee cafeteria, and banquets. Your role is critical in maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation while ensuring efficient kitchen operations.   • Culinary Skills: Prepare and supervise the preparation of food items, ensuring high standards of quality and presentation. Ensure precision in food preparation, portioning, and presentation.  
  • Supervisory Skills: Lead and assist kitchen staff, ensuring efficient and high-quality food preparation and service.  
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Anticipate and address issues proactively to maintain smooth kitchen operations.  
  • Communication Skills: Convey information clearly and resolve concerns from co-workers and guests effectively.  
  • Organizational Skills: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen, adhering to sanitation and safety standards.  
  • Initiative: Show initiative by anticipating needs and taking proactive steps to address them.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

  • Previous supervisory responsibility preferred.  
  • At least 5 years of progressive experience, or a culinary graduate with at least 1 year of experience in a hotel or related field.  
  • Food Handlers Certification required. (must comply with State requirements) 
  • Able to work effectively under pressure, maintaining composure while quickly evaluating situations and determining the best course of action  
  • A strong communicator who listens actively to understand concerns raised by coworkers and guests, and effectively conveys ideas and solutions
